The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) will be de-activating email filing channels for company financial year-end changes, as well as company address and name changes.

The de-activation commences on 1 December 2019 and applies to the email addresses: companychanges@cipc.co.za and namechange@cipc.co.za.

In future, financial year-end changes, company address changes and company name changes must be filed via any of the electronic channels for such services, namely E-Services, Third Party Model, Self Service Terminal and any other channel made available in the future.

External companies MUST file such changes via MOIAmendments@cipc.co.za from 1 December 2019 due to the fact that supporting evidence is required “that such change occurred in the primary jurisdiction of registration/icorporation,” according to the Notice 68 of 2019 recently published by the CIPC.

For more information, use the online enquiry system at www.cipoc.co.za or phone the call centre at 0861002472.
