conference coThe potential changes envisaged by the Tax Laws Amendment Bill of 2016, the ongoing confusion created by e@syfile, and the policy and procedural changes at SARS will further add to the work load of payroll professional.

Rob Nowicki from PsiberWORKS fame will be navigating the mine field of Payroll Taxes and Legislative Compliance in an upcoming event.

Rob has many years experience in the design and development of Payroll, HR and tax systems for over thirty years, both locally and internationally. Rob was a founder of one of the first PC based Payroll/HR applications in South Africa and also pioneered the concept of cloud based Payroll / HR services, with the launch of PSIberWORKS in 2000.

This initiative resulted in the birth of online tax payments and returns – formally known as MyTax.co.za, which later became the highly accredited SARS e-filing service. His extensive knowledge of employee-related payroll and tax matters and his ability to convey all this in a relaxed and easy to understand manner, has made him a popular speaker at seminars and conferences.

Rob’s vast knowledge and experience in Payroll related Taxes and Legislation, together with easy to apply guidelines and practical advice, will ensure you remain compliant when facing the often daunting challenges of implementing and managing the numerous tax, legislative and related procedural changes that take place during the year.

This seminar is designed to assist Payroll Managers, Payroll Administrators and anyone else involved in the day to day management of payroll activities, to clear up any confusion caused by the ongoing blizzard of tax and legislative changes affecting Payroll, ie. Retirement Reform, Additional Medical Tax Credits, New Tax Tables, the list goes on!

The seminar will provide a brief reminder and a checklist of all recent changes and developments, which became effective from March this year. It will also deal with the tax certificate changes that are due for implementation for the August submission, as well as those tax and legislative changes that are due by March 2017. Particular note will be taken of the employee related data that needs to be corrected and captured before submitting this year’s tax certificates.

This Half Day Seminar will:

  1. Provide clear and concise guidelines to alleviate any confusion related to the implementation of those key changes, as announced in this year’s Budget Speech
  2. Review what’s in the pipeline for payroll departments resulting from the Taxation Laws Amendment Bill of 2016, Interpretation Notices and any other procedural changes announced by the authorities since the Budget Speech
  3. Assist you with implementing the necessary changes required for the August Tax Certificate process
  4. Deal with the understanding and implementation of any other tax and legislative changes that have arisen this past year
