Participate in Renewable Energy Tax Incentive Survey
National Treasury is conducting an online survey to evaluate the effectiveness of two renewable energy tax incentives introduced in the 2023 Budget Review. These incentives include:
The solar energy tax credit (Section 6C), available to individuals installing rooftop solar panels between 1 March 2023 and 29 February 2024.
The enhanced deduction for renewable energy (Section 12BA), aimed at businesses with qualifying assets brought into use between 1 March 2023 and 28 February 2025.
The survey seeks to gather data on the impact of these measures in encouraging clean energy investments and addressing the ongoing energy crisis. Feedback will help shape future tax policies and improve support for renewable energy initiatives.
