Transfer of skills and knowledge to underprivileged business owners that will in the long run improve the life of the recipients. Further to this, the firm launched the Youth Month Competition, offering access to their Incubation programme for small township businesses.
This incubation programme was initiated during youth month and is focused on young people aged between 18-35 who have been running a small business for the last two years.
Nedoboni and Nthulana said that providing skills that aid in business growth is more valuable than just handing out funds without skills on utilising them. The programme will be over 12 months and will identify 20 businesses to incubate.
The outcomes of the incubation include encouraging compliance, financial knowledge, and funding opportunities from relevant departments. Another outcome is to ensure that those 20 businesses produce 40 employment opportunities to their community earning at least the minimum wage of R3 500.
