Additional function on Beneficial Ownership Declaration service – complex structures

Starting from 23 August 2024, the CIPC's Beneficial Ownership Declaration service now supports filing for complex ownership structures. This update allows you to disclose beneficial owners (natural persons) when the first level of ownership is held by entities such as companies, trusts, or nominee shareholders.

If your entity has multiple ownership tiers, you must still use the Disclosure Form to report these structures. Each entity in the ownership chain must also complete its own beneficial ownership declaration.

The goal of this service is to clearly identify and declare the natural persons who ultimately own or control a company.

For more details, please contact the CIPC through its enquiry system
