ASB End of Term Evaluation for Public Entities and Municipalities

The Accounting Standards Board (ASB) is undergoing an end of term evaluation to assess its performance against the Department of Performance Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME)'s Revised Framework for Strategic and Annual Plans. Africa Chartered Managers (ACM) has been appointed to carry out this evaluation, focusing on several key areas:

  1. Standards of GRAP: Evaluating how well the ASB has maintained and enhanced existing Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP) standards, and developed new ones where needed.

  2. Research and Relevance: Checking if the ASB’s research activities ensure that GRAP standards meet broader financial reporting needs.

  3. International Influence: Assessing the ASB's role in influencing international accounting standards.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Reviewing how the ASB has facilitated and supported stakeholder engagement.

Why is this important for us?

This evaluation will include consultations with stakeholders from public sector entities across national, provincial, and local levels. Participants in the evaluation are asked to assist ACM by providing necessary information related to the ASB’s work on GRAP standards. Your cooperation and input will be crucial for the success of this assessment.
