Complete the Office of the Tax Ombud (OTO) Survey on eFiling Profile Hijacking

The Office of the Tax Ombud (OTO) is conducting a survey to gather information on the challenges faced by taxpayers and tax practitioners regarding eFiling profile hijacking. This follows the OTO’s review, approved by the Minister of Finance, into possible systemic and emerging issues related to SARS’s service failures in assisting taxpayers with eFiling profile hijacking.

As a valued member of CIBA, your participation in this survey is crucial in providing insights that will contribute to the OTO’s investigation and final report on the matter.

How to Participate:

  • Online Survey: Click here to access the survey

  • Manual Submission: Download the survey form here, complete it, and email it to: communications@taxombud.gov.za

  • The survey is also accessible on the OTO website at www.taxombud.gov.za

Survey Deadline
All responses must be submitted by 5 March 2025, close of business.

We encourage all CIBA accountants who have encountered issues with SARS eFiling profile hijacking to participate and share their experiences. Your feedback is vital in helping address systemic challenges and improving taxpayer service.
