Change of Directors’ Contact Details

The CIPC has introduced enhanced control measures for updating directors’ contact details (email addresses and cell phone numbers) to prevent unauthorised changes. These changes aim to ensure that only the rightful owner of the contact details can authorize updates.

Key Points:

  1. When a change is requested, a confirmation link will be sent to both the old and new email addresses.

  2. The rightful owner has 24 hours to confirm or reject the change.

  3. If no confirmation is received within 24 hours, the application will lapse.

  4. If an unauthorized change is rejected within 24 hours, the application will be terminated, even if previously approved.

These measures are designed to safeguard director profiles and maintain system integrity.
