CIPC Introduces Online Filing for Prospectuses Starting September 2024

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) has announced that from 1 September 2024, the filing of prospectuses will be transitioned to an online platform.

For the remainder of August CIPC will continue accepting prospectuses through the existing email address (prospectus@cipc.co.za).

From 1 September submissions will be made via the new e-services portal (https://eservice.cipc.co.za).

CIPC also highlighted that in case of prospectus rejection, clients will have five business days to rectify and resubmit their documents. Failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe may result in additional fees. This change underscores the importance of adapting to digital solutions and emphasizes the necessity for timely compliance with new submission guidelines.
