New Two-Pot Calculator and Tax Registration on USSD

The Two-Pot calculator and Personal Income Tax (PIT) registration is now also available through the SARS USSD channel.

To access the SARS USSD channel dial 1347277# from your mobile phones. You can now easily estimate their potential payout from the Two-Pot Retirement System and register for Personal Income Tax via your mobile device.

Here’s how to use these services in just three steps:

Two-Pot Tax Calculator:

1. Dial 1347277# and select "Two-Pot tax calculator."

2. Enter your South African ID number, Tax Reference Number, expected annual income or taxable income, and the amount you wish to withdraw.

3. Receive your calculation results via SMS.

Personal Income Tax (PIT) Registration:

1. Dial 1347277# and select "Register for tax."

2. Enter your personal details, including your name, South African ID number, email, and physical address.

3. Receive your Income Tax Number via SMS.
