SARS Launches e@syFile™ Employer Version 8.0

SARS has launched e@syFile™ Employer version 8.0, a redesigned and improved platform for employer tax submissions.

From 1 March 2025, this new version will replace all previous versions, so employers must download and install it in time to get familiar with the updates.

What’s New in e@syFile™ Employer 8.0?

  • Faster & more efficient, built with modern technology for better performance.

  • User-friendly with improved interface for easier data capturing.

  • Quick & easy updates - modular updates eliminate the need for full reinstallation.

  • Quick access links allow to navigate between functions without extra clicks.

  • Better user management with enhanced access controls when adding and removing users.

  • Stronger security with improved measures to protect sensitive data.

System Requirements

  • Windows 10 (64-bit) or higher

  • 8GB RAM

  • 2GB available hard drive space (plus additional for employer data growth)

If your system doesn’t meet these requirements, you may need to upgrade your hardware.

Important Reminders

  • Employers with 50 or fewer employees who can’t upgrade can still submit via eFiling.

  • Data from the current version must be imported into version 8.0 for amendments.

  • First-time login requires recovery details to reset the ADMIN password if forgotten.
