Updated SARS Tax Practitioner Readiness Programme

SARS has updated its Tax Practitioner Readiness Programme, an essential educational resource for aspiring tax practitioners. This programme provides information about the obligations, responsibilities, and processes that tax practitioners must follow to deliver high-quality, professional, and ethical services to clients.

The updated programme content reflects feedback from attendees, practitioner queries, and changes to relevant rules and systems, ensuring the training remains relevant.

Although the guides are uploaded, the updated assessments will only be effective from January 2025 (the effective date for the new assessments will be communicated in due course).

From 1 July 2022, the TPRP became mandatory for all tax practitioner registrations.

Although the programme primarily targets new registrants, existing tax practitioners are encouraged to use the modules as a refresher to stay current with the latest developments in the tax environment.
